Two Minutes With David Pearson

David Pearson is “The Silver Fox” and 1976 Daytona 500 champion. He earned his reputation as one of NASCAR’s great drivers by compiling the second greatest win total at the sanctioning body’s highest level (105 victories) and is a three-time NASCAR Cup champion (1966, 1968 and 1969). Pearson’s ability to run up front is also featured in two other astounding statistics – 366 top-10 finishes and 113 poles in 574 starts. Pearson is a 1993 International Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee and was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers in 1998. During the 50th running of the Daytona 500 Media Day, Pearson talks with Daytona International Speedway for "Two Minutes With" and among the things we learn how much money he made in his first race, who his racing idol is, what his racing superstitions were and of course of his favorite Daytona 500 memory.
